AKU, the Italian brand that has been producing mountaineering and trekking shoes for over 40 years, as well as shoes for those who work in contact with nature, presents its new UTAH WORK GTX work shoe. This safety shoe is ISO EN 20345:2011 – S3 – HI – CI – WR – HRO – SRC certified and based on the historic AKU model, which is appreciated for its sturdiness and extreme comfort. Ideal for the construction and carpentry industries, it has been designed to resist intense use, thanks to the 2.6mm Italian nabuk leather combined with a band of rubber and a Gore-Tex lining that makes it completely waterproof. The asymmetrical tongue has been created to reduce pressure points on the foot and maintain comfort for long hours of use, while the crush resistant toe-cap is in aluminium alloy helping to reduce its bulkiness, while leaving ample room for the foot and keeping the weight to a minimum. This boot, as with all the models designed by AKU, stands out for its technical quality, functionality, and reliability, while fully respecting the ancient and incomparable Italian manufacturing tradition. Traditionally connected to the world of life and work in contact with nature, the company subsequently undertook a project of expansion for its collection, introducing certified models onto the market, which were specifically designed for work-related activities in complete safety and joined by the added value of the legendary comfort of AKU footwear. PPE certified AKU shoes are designed and sold by the company in its own production facilities located in Italy, Romani, and Serbia.
