The revolution in the exhibition calendar imposed by Covid-19 also affects the safety sector and the major events are repositioned on dates that – hopefully with the positive evolution of the pandemic situation – will offer companies the best conditions for face to face business, also focusing on the support of digital channel media.

What will your next international appointments in the sector look like? After cancelling the 2020 edition, Expoprotection returns to Paris – Expo Porte de Versaille from 28 to 30 September 2021 with an edition exclusively dedicated to the Safety-Security and Fire Fighting sector and adopting a hybrid format, enhancing physical exposure with the support of the “Expoprotection Online” platform. “Sharing the disappointment of all those who counted on Expoprotection to revitalise their business at the end of 2020, – declares Jean-François Sol Dourdin, director of Expoprotection – we have developed the project for the 2021 edition with the purpose to offer our customers new high-added value meetings. The hybrid approach, which combines the physical and digital event, will be at the heart of our programme”. The MeetingOne-to-One programme with personalised support, with targeted and tailor-made meetings, conferences with experts in security and fire fighting, the Expoprotection Innovation Awards for the most disruptive solutions presented at the show and Start Up Village with the youngest and most innovative companies in the risk prevention sector, is among the contents of the event. Simultaneously with the launch of the event, the announcement of the dates for the 2022 edition, scheduled for 15 to 17 November.

In Germany, Messe Düsseldorf is preparing with confidence a physical A+A edition from 26 to 27 October, after receiving a clear signal of the industry’s desire to get back to face each other live again: “At the moment, a large part of the exhibition spaces have already been booked – says Brigit Horn, Project Director of A + A. – For us it is a clear sign that confirms the relevance of A + A as a leading platform for industry exchange. The positive response from exhibitors shows that they, like us, are looking forward to returning to real contact, personal encounters and experiencing innovations live”. Subscriptions are collected on aplusa-online.com and in the Start-Up Zone space dedicated to the youngest and most innovative companies in international trade, which will be able to enjoy special terms and conditions. The content, as usual, will focus on safety, health protection but also sustainability, design and fashion. This edition will be enhanced by the digital channel, for a hybrid fair experience, which will allow access to the various conferences and contents of the online fair.

The situation of the events taking place in Italy is, however, still uncertain: the Safety Expo event, organised in Bergamo by the Antincendio e Ambiente & Sicurezza sul Lavoro (workplace fire safety) magazines published by EPC Periodici in collaboration with Istituto Informa, after cancelling the September 2020 edition, has not yet announced the dates of the the next appointment. Ambiente e Lavoro, the exhibition dedicated to safety at work organised by Bologna Fiere in collaboration with Senaf, took place in digital from 1 to 3 December 2020 and it is still possible to access its contents, in particular the rich webinar programme, on its platform “Ambiente Lavoro Online”. The new dates have not yet been announced for the Bologna show.
