How many exhibition companies will attend Sicur2020? What are the most growing sectors at the fair?

SICUR continues to grow at a steady rate. At the present time, we already have almost 13% more exhibitors than last year. We are still marketing the trade fair to potential exhibitors at the moment, so we are talking about an estimate of some 700 direct exhibitors, representing around 1,400 companies. All the sections at SICUR are expanding and we are focusing on the occupational health and safety sector, which will be SICUR’s biggest and most representative area at the next trade fair.

What trend is shaping in the field of security footwear?

SICUR offers a comprehensive and varied range of safety footwear and, as Spain is a major footwear manufacturing country, it represents an important platform for innovation in this field. The new footwear designs on show not only increase the level of protection against the hazards for which they have been designed – their core function – but also offer comfort and fashion, with attractive models in both areas.

What are the special initiatives the will take place at Sicur2020?

In addition to providing an international showcase for the safety and security sector, SICUR 2020 offers a programme of seminars, workshops and round tables enabling industry professionals to update their know-how and participate in hot-topic debates. SICUR also provides a platform spotlighting the most innovative products presented at the trade fair – the ‘Innovation Gallery’ – which identifies the trends that are driving progress in the industry and offers recognition to the most innovative companies.

What are the initiatives on the field to improve internationality of the event?

Every year, SICUR welcomes international participants accounting for some 20-25% of direct exhibitors, while around 8% of visitors also come from outside Spain. This year, alongside the programme of activities for promotion and advertising aimed at increasing the international scope of the trade fair, SICUR is launching a guest buyers programme under the banner of the Spanish associations for the supply of equipment and services – AES, ASEPAL and TECNIFUEGO – who are close partners of the trade fair.

Why visit Sicur2020?
